    5w-40 Fully Synthetic. Millers is good.

    Oilmans the expert on this.

    I have used a fully synthetic before, didnt like it. Made the engine run hot and noisy. Like its "too slippy".

    I always run a 10w40 semi syn. But its personal preference really.

    As per Colins post, 5w40 made mine quite noisy.

    Never had a problem with Total Quartz 10w40 semi, its a good spec oil and cheap too. Fucking hard to get locally though, as is Fuchs Titan, another decent one. Used to be able to get both from GSF

    Yer I am still using the 10 40 semi oil I use shell oil, not bad price and good oil.

    Thats what I use in my R...I used in the S, and a few mates use it in GTi/vts. Try your dealer for it mate...might be a little more but you can probably get them to budge on price
