VTR engine into a 1.1

   Okay after my mum racing some vts in my 1.1 off the lights.. i found him on facebook and started speaking. He has a vtr lump for sale and he said to the normal eye it looks the same as a 1.1? :s whats the difficulties in an engine transplant?

   It would be easier to just buy a VTR. Honestly. You will need to upgrade the brakes, front struts (if your car is 3 stud) and the insurance on a converted car will me much more than a factory VTR.

    if he gets in an accident, there won't be much of a car left to sell. Undeclared engine modded cars resale value is about sweet sod all.

    I think ill just put up with 1.1 speed for a year then get a vtr - and no pis of my mum

    Do the right thing and buy/insure the car properly. Undeclared swaps are what puts peoples premiums up as you are uninsured doing it that way
