ok so last cuple of weeks my bays been getting coated in oil... wasnt 100% where it coming from intill i took out the dipstick yestoday and reved the car.. and it shot out,i dont know ifit has the correct dipstick on it, it dosent have a o ring or any thing to keep it in just sits in...

I read that this " back pressure " ??? Could be caused by worn piston rings.. any way of reducing this? or atleast keeping the oil in lol..

Ill be honost i have halfords air filter on there and the 2 hoses are not currently connected to breathers, I may have over filed the oil slightly? but i dont think this could cause it to shoot out

My friend said to change the oil and the oil filter? but i dont see how this could help lol

Any help would be great if u need more info gimmi a shout

Car is a mk1 SAXO VTR

Its done ruffly 116k serviced not too long ago befor i got it

Do a compression test, once dry and once with a little oil poured in the cylinders

As said compression test it. Compression should be consistant aross all, and maintain pressure. Also the TU is quite sensitive to the breather system, make sure the rocker assy breather properly and there are no blocked pipes. Wouldn't have thought this will have anything to do with it but its better eliminate the easy stuff first.

ps changing the oil wont help. Unless its like treacle and is blocking the oil ways up.

Ye, my VTR does this, Compression is alright, not perfect though.

I run the oil half way, most people run it at the max mark, don't... You'll cause more damage than good and you'll get what you're getting lol.
