#3I would plug the hole for the resonator box, you may make it less efficient by trying to do too much.

#4Forgot to say, are you going for more sound or more performance?

#5thats the question,,, i guess i wouldnt gain much perfomance at all if any ...?? so im guessing noise , for now till i can get a decent filter ,i have a foam 1 at min but sits far back so ull get heat soak...thats what ive read so far,,sorry if getting any thing wron way round totaly new to this car stuff :-)

#6It wont get heat soak form just being towards the back for the engine bay. In fact the old group N rally cars used to run the air box at the back, take the feed from below the windscreen as this is the highest pressure the front of a car has.
It get heat soak from being next to exhaust manifolds or behind radiators that does it. A panel filter will be more effective than an open cone filter as its more protected from the heat, and generally will have a larger surface area anyway (thats why filters have folds in them) Probably will be better for power with a decent cold air feed to the standard airbox. -
#7so would i be best with better filte rin std box and using a better fair feed on top hole and another below were restortator box goes ...so i have x2 air feeds??? does this sound ok?

#8I am currently running a green panel filter in the std airbox with standard ducting and blocked off the resonator with a 2.5" post tube cap. Does the job

Is pretty much the best way to increase the performance. Top quality filter, fully enclosed to keep it nice and cool.
As said mate, block up the spare hole and just use one air feed.
