looking at the vtr kent cams on atspeed, they have one which requires a remap and another which says it will be fine without one - what sort of gains would i be looking at from each one?
cam shaft question

#2the one that needs a remap will have better gains as it will be a wilder cam. but only if you get it re-mapped...
-
#3i bought a ph3 camshaft off of kamracing, made a fair bit of difference alongside my 4-2-1 straight through system, but would benifit from a remap.
if a vts engine transplant is out of the equation, then get a wild cam, and full exhaust system then a remap. will make for a fairly quick vtr then

#4dont cam a vtr its not worth it, i done it, steve done it, and both will tell you its not worth the box it was brought in
-
#5^^ Tell it like it is! This is what car forums need more of.
-
#6I will be camming my R because I want to do something different to the norm S engined motor. Not after anything mega just to fiddle with the engine!
-
#7Its good to have a fiddle with an engine, if it goes horribly wrong put it down to a learning experience
Stick some ITB's on too for some decent gains

#9Good man, doesn't matter what engine you put them on they sound evil
probably would want a ridiculous cam with bodies.

#10Will be getting a ph3 cam at some stage.... Should do me alright...
