Is the tb the same size? I know the 1.4 and 16v inlets are different, not sure if the vtr had a different size aafter 2001

not sure mate. can u find out, cuz they look the same.

Get your tape measure out, or do some research to find your TB size. Then call Larkspeed in the morning to ask them if it matches to your side. If it's too big, then I'm sure you can use a silicone reducer.

thats what i was thinking, just use a reducer, wat is the size of 1996 to 2000, then i can mesure mine 2morow and c

im very sure they are the same tb size as the mk1. 57mm iirc.

but as you say if it dont fit buy a reducer for a couple of quid.

The MK2 Vtr and the crossover engines (silver top 90bhp) have slightly larger TB's than the MK1. Can quote exaclt sizes but I rekcon the outside diameter is about 6mm bigger on the later cars.

is it ok if i get this and buy a reducer

Replied to PM. I'd go for it.

To add, it will be easier to see what I mean when you have the kit there.

    Don't waste £170 on that.

Get a panel filter and work on improving the air flow to standard airbox

A lot cheaper and arguably better

If you want to spend near the £200 mark on an induction get a procomp as theyre made from carbon fibre. This one you have linked is still just plastic and wont be any better at shielding the heat. At least with a procomp its real carbon so reduces the heat getting to the airfilter. Make sure you get a green filter though.
