itb setup.

I've decided I wanna go down the itb route to get more power out of my N/A engine.

I've looked throught peoples threads but I cant really find a list of what is really needed to put itb's onto a VTS and to get the best benefits out of it.

    Im thinking:

    Cams (708's or ph3's)
    Clio 182 Injectors
    itb's (obviously)
    Re-map To Suit

But then I get stuck thinking about what else I might need...

    Can anyone shed some light?

cheers bud, after you have put aftermarket management on does this replace the ECU or do you still need a re-map?

    sorry about being a n00b

the standalone ecu replaces the standard ecu.
  6. #6
so it would still need a re-map. its just a better way of doing it.

it would have probably been parked up the near the royal berks hospital, my old man lives near there.

i spend more time down in southampton as its where its closer to work but i might start heading up to some meets up near reading when im about up that way.

I'd love to see your itb'd sax, what itbs has it got?
Im on kamracings website looks at the jenvey kit. any other ones i could look at? bike carbs possibly?

yeah it was about a month ago i was walking out of the town early hours of morning and see a black mk2 go past exhaust, hids etc.. might be yours but dunoo

iv got AT tb's iv never owned jenveys but more people go for them but i dont think theres nothing wrong with AT powers only a few minimal negatives..
i wouldnt go for bike carbs not unless you speak to sandy and sort out bike boddies + mani etc

i would prob recommend jenveys and omex managment even though this isnt what i have got

yeah you need aftermarket due to fueling etc all being different so cant use standard but then the ecu would need mapping up but people sort out deals on supplying fitting and mapping

could have possibly been but god knows

I've litterally just stumbled accross the AT power itbs and there a fair bit cheap, like £400 cheaper! (£850ish through gmcmotorsport)

what management are you running & what kinda power figures are you pushing with your current set up?

sort of.. you get the ecu replacment ( omex or other makes ) and the map is sort of software that you put on via a laptop

thats the easiest way to explain

Couldn't you use the Predator ECU with bodies...? It'd save the hassle of having a sus out a new loom.
