Dastek Unichip query

    My Rallye has this chip fitted, although some of the wires are not connected to anything.



    Why is this? Should I be worried?

    Dont think theres enough wiring there to make the dastek work.

    If you unplug it does the engine still run? if so its not doing anything

    does not even look as though the main ecu plug is on?

    Well the car currently runs so surely it is?


    I dont know anything about ECU's or engine wiring!

    as above ryan means unplug the wiring from the chip, if the car still starts the dastek is doing nothing

    Don't unplug the ECU or you'll lock it.

    Aye as in just the wires going into the small screw blocks? coming from the dastek?

    u cant lock an ecu by unplugging it

    who even said his ecu was unlocked anyway?

    Now im even more confused lol

    Think I am just going to leave it to a local Dastek dealer, theres one up beside my college, so its all good

    Whats there to be confused about! Just unplug the dastek connector and try start it, youll cause zero harm to anything and anybody who mentions locking the ecu has the total wrong end of the stick, youve got as much chance as it causing all 4 tyres to go flat.

    Well i know nothing about ecu's or engine wiring, so quite a lot tbh . . .
