My mate has come up trumps with a 16v unit for a very low price so What do you reckon would be the best? J4 but it'll be running standard manifold and exhaust. I have an XSi with 4 branch manifold and full exhaust however. This will be going into a VTR track car but i'm in two minds which one to fit.

#2j4 imo better base for more powerQuote:My mate has come up trumps with a 16v unit for a very low price so What do you reckon would be the best? #3I think I might just pick the engine up anyway but its seems awfully cheap though and comes with a gearbox...shame I've bought so much 8v kit too
-
#4which xsi engine have you got?
-
#5the 1.6
-
#6pretty rare to find one of those engine nowadays lol my house mate has had 2 1.4's and now has the 1.6 which he is currently dropping in a 16v
iirc the 1.6 xsi's are rarer than the rallyes -
#74-2-1 manifold and full system fitted, induction kit so hopefully it'll be alright. The engine will be going in a VTR with associated vtr injection setup but I'm going to run the xsi injections and inlet if i can

#816v will have more power to start, a better base to build on.
Sell the manifolds for 16v ones and you're laughing.
What XSi kit have you got? *Might* be interested... -
#9I haven't heard anything about the 16v at the moment, not sure if the guy has got back to my mate yet. Apart from the xsi manifold and janspeed 4 branch, I've got a standard xsi exhaust manifoldm downpipe and inlet
