mobil semi synth in a 95k vtr

Just brought some Mobil 2000 semi-synthetic 10w40 to go in a T reg vtr. Not sure what oil was in it before. Just wondered if i am likely to have problems with seals or oil consumtion etc? Engine is on 95k. Also does anyone recommend oil flush products? Heard it could cause problems with valve stem oil seals etc?

Do you know what i do.

    Engine flush

New CHEAP oil. Run this for only a few thousand miles (To collect the carbon and gunk). Engine flush this out then i buy Halfords Semi Synthetic and change the oil every 6 months. Regardless of mileage.

Been up and down the M1 + M25 for the last year doing 80MPH. Not one problem!

I wouldn't really worry. I have my Punto on 96K. Regular oil change (Every 6 months) and its not let me down, ONCE!
