Is there a performance exhaust thats quieter than the janspeed?

What is the quietest back box for the VTR but still gives good flow? I have a Janspeed at the moment and I find it a tad too loud...

I'm really just looking to swap... as I'm sprinting on a budget this year, 8 rounds plus a stint at Prescott has made a dent in my wallet!

I've seen you do quite a bit of sprinting, are you competitive in a Saxo? I've seen a lot of 106gtis do well but not many saxo's

It's a 106 rallye I hillclimb, sprints ain't my thing. (too much run off area)

My 106 goes well and holds a class record at doune hillclimb.

just fit a sports cat - better flow than stock. and quiter than a de-cat.

Is there an advantage with the 106 to a similarly spec'd Saxo or is it just preference?

If you can get them the same weight it's either or. My car was 692kg's in 2010.

If down at shelsley next weekend with my pal, he's car 39.

That's encouraging.. I'm guessing that's poly windows and fibreglass bonnet and tailgate.. and anything else you can scrape off do you run PAS as there seems to be quite a lot of weight in the motor..

My next event is Anglesea the weekend after (long run offs though )

I did have one question.. what is the distinct difference between class 1B and 3B I get SB is purely standard but where do you draw the line between 1B and 3B?

    Cheers
    Andrew

I don't run pas but I do use a pas rack/column/pedal box etc as it's quicker than the rallye & ax racks I used previously on my 106.

I dunno what the class structure is in England, we do it a bit differently north of the border.

    A classes are road cars
    B classes are modified
C classes are racing/sports libre classes

Hi c7borg, i fit a sportex backbox just yesterday and was surprised how quiet it is!, so there you go....run a standard cat and system and just add the sportex 3" rolled out one with the black box, sure you know the one! cheers, vtr-man :-)

Ahh well at least there's two of us! mine just makes a loud rasping noise as it goes past 3500rpm.. I just don't like sounding louder than my car is fast if you know what I mean maybe I should just fit a cammed 16v lump and then I wouldn't fel quite as conscious!
