Important! : 16v conversion done few problems and questions

    ive done a 16v conversion and its not as quick as i would have fort, its out of a 106 gti and has a c2 head and bottem end is on about 50k and head is on about 10k

    it had a vtr box on it atm as the gti box was knakerd could this be why it doesnt feel as quick as it should be or is there another problem?

    also my temp guage, speedo and rev counter arnt workin and my battery and warning lights always on.

    also imobilser key on left always flashes?

    Get a Vts box on it for a start

    i hope that sorts out the powerside of it going to change it asap just got to find one close to my area

    By the sounds of things it doesn't sound great.

    All earths okay on the loom side of things? You had to chop any loom as part of the conversion?

    The Vts needs to be rev'd to be quick, 4k-7k is where they're quick

    all earths fine and i havnt choped any of the loom, the a few spare plugs tho a couple at front of engine bay and a two at the rear aswell but i fort this could be as im not runnin abs and my fans on a switch and such.

    i dno were im reving atm so not sure wen id be between 4k n 7k n i got made redundant whilst doing the conversion so i havnt been able to buy a new box yet and hvnt had it on the road atall jus up n down my road a few times, not got out of 3rd n as im not sure wear to change gear i havnt been proper gunning it either.

    also i was told that were i had the engine for about four months sittin in my garage it mite jus need wearing in but i would of fort it wud need to much

    Check all your wiring, make sure it's all connected properly, get the gauges working before you worry about power

    spare plugs = bodge. once the conversions been finished you might see an improvement.

    ofcourse theres gna be spare plugs u tool, vtr doesnt have abs for 1 and im not runnin the fan of the plug as ive said and i have several things on switches so there will be kno need for the plugs to it so i have spare plugs, dnt chat shit i dnt leave posts for pointless comments from wankers

    Yes all Saxos have random plugs as some models use them and others don't.

    ive done the vts conversion twice with not a single spare plug left over. abs doesnt run off the engine loom.

    abs does have a plug in the loom!!!!!! OH MY GOD NOT 2 lol!! dnt chat shit on my posts coz u think u kno it all! stick to chattin shit on ur corsa forum mate

    I agree with you, I put my re-built 16v engine back in my VTS and didn't have a single plug left over

    this guys clearly got a dodgy loom that citroen just chucked some unnecessary plugs on for no reason, or an engine with some sensors that none of us have come across before

    you mite kno more than wah i do tha dnt bovar me atall lol , n im not tha chav ur tha one tha cme up first with tha shitty post lol, how can the conversion be bodge wen there is absolutly nowere these plugs can be connected, tbh it will depend on wat year of car, wat year of engine, wat loom you use and wat spec it is to wether u have plugs left or not, mines a mk 1 vtr with engine out of a 03 plate 106 gti ofcourse theres goin to be plugs that arnt goin to be needed!!! and as ive said many time and ive gt a few things on switches so therefore no need for plug, i posted this for help not for an argument ahah

    put up a couple of pictures of the plugs and I'll try and help you out.
