how do i stop my vtr sump leaking!!

    hi. have an mk2 saxo and i cant get it to stop leaking oil at the flywheel side is there anyone with any salutions n how to stop it? or could it be something else? iv'e done it 4 times now and just cant sort it!!

    make sure it is the sump and not the Rear crank seal, gearbox removal needed to replace that, if you sealed the sump properly then id say that its something else other than the sump if you have tried it 4 times

    ive put a new crank seal in because i done the gearbox and clutch so just replaced it anyway. i got a bit of corck sheet and cut out my own gasket but it is still leakin in the exact same place. was wondering if there is a place that makes rubber ones or something. its begining to anoy me lol.

    i always use the VW sump sealer, its like a thick white sealer and its the best stuff IMO, made by vw but not just for vw , cork sheet gaskets arent very good tbh. Y ou can buy this gasket sealent at VW parts, or euro car parts do there own brand of it

    klkl i will need to get some and try once more or keep on tryin it till i get it at that matter its a pain because i took it off the road for 6 months so i could do all the work then when a get it back on the road its still doin it. oh well story of motoring lol cheers for your help!!!

    if you clean it properly you can seal it up with household silicone all abut te cleanliness tbh
