rocker box gasket

    anyone got an idea of cost to replace the gasket between head and rocker box
    i know it's cams out etc, but i'm getting a right lazy bastard...

    On a 16v? You cant actually replace them, theyre integral to the cam cover. If theyre leaking, take off the cam cover, get rid of the old seal with a knife, use instant gasket to bead a new seal, then let it dry before refitting.

    You don't have to remove cams to reseal the rocker gasket

    As said above, remove the old seal with a knife or similar and reseal with an instant gasket

    I used loctite instant gasket sealent from halfords, worked a treat

    Ensure both surfaces are clean and then thick bead all the way round

    i got my gasket from GSF, cheap as chips! only like £3 or something lol have a look on their website/google them mate

    thanks but its not cam cover leaking it;s the next one down above the cylinder head and below the cam box...
