#2Most recommend standard airbox wiht green/k&n panel filter
Im currently running a standard, is it worth paying £40 odd pound for a panel filter? -
#3Standard air box with a green or k&n panel filter will be adequate. For the extra £, the gains won't be much more

#4i loved my procomp when I had it.
It made a great noise, gains heck knows never RRd it.
Personally i wouldnt use a BMC seen alot of bad results with them1 user thanked this post: -

did it feel like it made a diffrents? what was the noise sound like? dont tell me its sounds like the k&n ones!
The bmc was the other one i was thinking of but didnt no people had results from it why? -
#6Best bang for buck is prob a raceland with a green filter. Pro comp is massively overpriced IMO but it is rather beautiful. But as said a good cold air feed and a panel filter is up there
-
#7It sounded great, Id still run one if I didnt have a standard car and the one on bodies.Quote:Thanks mate

I wasnt to worried about it costing a load more as I liked a bit of carbon. Bang for buck its clearly not the best out there but you pay your money and make your choices.
and it sounds nothing like a knN open cone. -
#8nahh soo many people say the raceland are shitt and not well build + its not realt carbon! just wanna get somthing witch is goodQuote:Best bang for buck is prob a raceland with a green filter. lol
Thats good i hat the k&n sound and i am really thinking about getting one beacuse i wanna get somthing that sounds good and would give a good gain? thats why i am thinking procompQuote:It sounded great, Id still run one if I didnt have a standard car and the one on bodies.

#9the raceland is plastic.
It works dont knock it, its an almost exact replica of the green enclosed which were prooven to give good gains. but at a fraction of the cost. -
#10yeah it may work but soo many people bitch about it!and if they are proven for good gain are the procomp proven for good gain?
-
#11most likely give the same sort of gains as a raceland as its the same sort of design except for the procomp being Real carbon.
for best results get a green panel filter with cold air feed
if you want looks and a decent gain then get a Raceland or Procomp1 user thanked this post: -
#12Ive got the simota enclosed, ie the one raceland based theirs on, and although it is good, if i didnt get it fairly cheap i would have just gone down the uprated panel filter/decent cold air feed route to be honest.
-
#13Some people compare the sound of a procomp to throttle bodies, thats how loud and how much it roars. Its carbon so shields the filter from heat, where as the raceland ispastic.
Raceland with green filter £100, or procomp for £200. Id have the pro comp any day.1 user thanked this post: -
#14Thanks mate the only thing is whats the power gain like any good?
-
#15just the fitting ideas are shit. attach it to the slampanel, engine moves, panel doesn't. you guess the rest.Quote:nahh soo many people say the raceland are shitt and not well build + its not realt carbon! just wanna get somthing witch is good
lol
mines currently cabletied and strung to the engine hoist hook -
#16I had a raceland and it was crap, currently running no air filter and its loads better without! TB's dont normally run filters either, risky I know just deciding what to get next.

#18I drive my sax about 4 times a month mate
-
#20Thats like saying "I dont wear my seatbelt because I only use the car 4 times a month" could happen at anytime,5mins into the journey!
