I have seen worse going through an mot, have you checked the anti roll bar bolt? Mine was slack and once I have tightened it the creeking stopped

The pinging is prob the ARB end plate bolt,as for the camber i`ve seen a darn sight worse than that mate.

Is the ARB end plate bolt the small bolt around 1 inch long? well if it is took the old one out and replaced it with a stronger one (from swampy) and its pinging worse you think i havent tightened it up enough?

The head of the bolt should have some numbers written on it,that is the shear strength ie how tight you can torque it up to have a look at that mate.

    Ye i will do! thanks

The anti roll bar bolts actually only need to be tightened to 25nm which is virtually bugger all. But as standard thread lock is used to prevent loosening.

Be careful not to over tighten especially if the bolt is an old original one

i had this pinging noise. when your bolt loosens, your anti roll bar end plate loosens off the antiroll bar splines. in order to push them back together tight, you can wack either end at the same time with a lump hammer or order a strong longer m8 bolt off swampy, and screw it into the bit behind the rubber torx screw, with a socket and some washers as 'spacers'. this will pull the arb and arb end plate closer together.

after this, put locktight on the end plate screws and screw them in pretty hard

    EDIT: look at this http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...t=75542&page=7

What sort strength would the bolt have to be to use with the socket?

Right since ive changed the ARB bolt on friday the pinging noise has turned into a rattle, So hard to determine if it is coming from the rear axle, Just going to tighten everything up at weekend and see how it goes!
