Emissions - Cat - Mot advice please

    Put the car through MOT with the decat on just to see how bad things were before I got a cat and very pleased that apart from a few lil silly things it just failed on emissions

    My brother's got a couple of Cat's laying about from his 1.1,, will these be good enough to get my VTS through mot or am I just being silly?

    Also I had problems with my rear lambar sensor and it's been disconnected, willl I be able to pass emissions with a cat without fixing this, the front lambar sensor works fine

    the rear sensor works with the front sensor too, to adjust fuel / air ratio.
    dont have the back one connected, it will likly get picked up on the emissions.

    as far as i no the back sensor is just to tell the ecu if thecat is working to turn on the eml light if it needs chainging so you shud be fine to leave it out
