gearbox vtr or vts

    I am just about to put in a saxo vts engine in what is the best gearbox to put in 1 of the vtr or vts. I was told vtr box as it will be quicker but top end not as hi dont know if that is right.

    Wouldnt use the VTR box, ratio's are very long

    Use a vts box if you have 1

    If you can get 1 get a rallye or XSI box, but usually a fair whack more than the S box

    yes i have a vts box and a vtr box thanks will have a look at a xsi box

    Tell whoever told you to fit the 8v box to stop giving people completely wrong information.

    Yeah yo e itthe wrong way around, the VTS box has closer ratios so acceleration is a lot better iirc. I have a VTR box and it's just sluggish, so definitely go for the S box

    Not just the VTR box that's sluggish. 8v engines in general

    VTS box doesnt have closer ratios.

    Rev drops are exactly the same, it has a different final drive.
