VTS induction: K&N panel vs Simota (and alike)

  1. #1
what's better power wise? cost doesn't matter

seems like these are the best options but what's better?

enclosed box like Simota seems to let more air and might be better isolated from heat, as the standard induction comes really close to exhaust manifold...

concerning the standard kit - is it important to keep all joining 100% isolated?
is it possible to fit aftermarket effective cold air feed to standard box?

to make it clearer there are 4 options:

    2. http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen/c...6-16v-vts.html
might be led to antifog light place - worth it?

    3. Std box with std piping

    4. Std box with straight cold air feed

forgot to mention i've got supersprint backbox, decat, 4-2-1 mani and planning to cam it (ph3 or alike) and remap

You'll probably get between 1 and 3 BHP more from a dedicated enclosed induction kit.

But is it worth all that extra cost over standard box with a decent filter and air feed? Probably not...

acrually I'd say 3hp are worth the extra cost
BUT still which one of them is more efficient?

what are the options to make cold air intake with a STD box? some one sells them?
Is STD intake from grill to box really restrictive? And a more straighter and wider airfeed would benefit? Where to put it - grill or foglight?
