thinking about getting one but do the actually do owt or are they just for show?
strut brace

#2They stiffen up the front abit m8, if you want to make a real difference then you are better of getting a upper and lower brace.
-
#3Lower strut braces make a noticeable difference. the front end feels tighter and more precise when driving round corners at speed.
Upper brace makes no noticeable difference. but apparently does help when on track etc.
I sold my upper strut brace ages ago as it did nothing noticeable. After selling, the car felt the same as it did with the brace on. -
#4ok how much are the lower ones?cheers
-
#5Not sure new. they go for around £20 second hand though.
-
#6ah right nice one will keep a look out for one cheers
-
#7if your car is lowered, welcome to hitting your lower brace on every bump you go over. it sits very low, mainly meant for track use, for a daily i wouldnt get one mate
-
#9its only lowerd 40mm i think never caught on a speed bump or owt
-
#11how big are you speed bumpsQuote:same ive never had a problem on either of mine, 1's down 40mm and the others down 60mm
my mate down 50 at the front hits everything round here! all lower braces i see for sale too all have damage from countless hits on bumps, you lucky people! my manifold hits a few things let alone getting a lower brace lol
