Hi I have got a phase 2 vtr and want to de-cat it. Is it possible to get just a de-cat pipe from anywhere or do i have to get the manifold aswell? cheers
Important! : De-cat pipe

#2On a mk2 the cat is in the manifold so a sports manifold is needed.
-
#3Or a ph1 exhaust system?
-
#4any ideas on sports manifolds so i dont have to move the oil filter?
-
#5would a phs 1 system fit straight on?
-
#6My local exhaust place does them for 175 fitted custom made but I think raceland do a manifold specially for the mk2 which doesn't require it moving? I could be wrong?
-
#7yeah just checked there nearly 300 though
best get saving haha
-
#8Why not go custom then for under 200?
-
#9Also that's under 200 fitted, the 300 you quoted would be plus fitting at about 50+ quid.
-
#10true is the custom one still a performance one? and where bouts im in Harrogate mate
-
#11Ye performance 4-2-1i used john ashley in walsall but just google custom exhausts and where you live.
-
#12k thanks

#13Also after you find a couple, post up for opinions on the company.

#14yeah iv found a nice sportex manifold so i just emailed them to see if it will need the oil filter moving or not hopefully not. just then gotta change it every year for MOT
-
#15As far as I know the sportex's don't require the oil filter moving, there not the best but you get what you pay for and they will improve flow a LOT though
-
#16Yeah well iv got a sportex cat back exhaust system and its really good. Iv used them on my other car and not had a problem with them either so hopefully should all be fine

#17theres a guide on here to use the proppa sports mani that doesnt cost a bomb, the guid shows how to move the oil filter so it fits
il have a quick look see if i can find it
