cars sluggish

   was out with a mate last night and hes got a 1.1 106 which had been lowered and had a open filter put on it but the engines in his and mine are the same, but he put his foot down on a dual carriageway and pulled away from me he had a full car and a double sub i had one person in the car and there was no chance of me catching him any ideas why mine is so slow ?

   i dont want anything big like that just wana know what might be wrong with mine for it not to be able to keep up with basicly the same car

   i had the exact same problem when racing my mates 106. and when i was a passenger in his it felt like it pulled better through the gears. and the kick in the teeth was his engine was on 120,000 and mine was on 54,000. i like to think my 4 stud hubs and vtr brakes weighed me down

    aparently another boy i bother with from school said my mates 106 has a 1.3 rally chip in in which i dont no what it is but didnt think u could mix an match parts fro diffeent power engine like that :s

    or more likely its a 1.4 and not a 1.1

    Either he's got some serious mods like a different engine, or your car's not 100% lol.
    
    If I were you I'd not bother worrying, I'm guessing it's your first car?
    Just enjoy driving until you can get something better tbh!

    I got fucked over by a 1.1 106 the other day..and i have a Furio :/. Just been serviced, only had a small amount of fuel..and he beat me in a straight line.. i. was. PISSED

    there certainly is. well, theres flat arches with 1.4 engines everywhere

    a think its just your luck on the day mate. as i said, my friend beat me in his 106, but i had raced a 1.4 sx before and beat that. the guy was fuming. sold the car a week later haha

    How does he know it wasnt swapped in the past? As that guy said, lose the utterly gay exhaust its a cooking model 1.1 not a porsche

    some are just faster than others and theres no easy explanation. Ive got the fastest 1.4 around and the only mods are an xsi head and a lambda sensor off a different model
