Piggy back

  1. #1
Hi everyone, I'm in the middle of putting my vtr on itb's
And sticking a 270 duration cam and over sized valves, as a mechanic I have no problems with all the mechanical bits and bobs and know enough people in the motorsport side to help me with the set up.
My problem is I'm tryin to make the best of what I've got, and I don't really wanna spend £600 on a standalone management system.
So does anyone know of any good quality piggy back ecu's I could go for?
I can buy an apexi neo afc off a friend cheap but I dnt know if it will do what I want ?

dastek is nothing more than a fancy take on the resistors that are sold on ebay to faff around with the water temp sensor. They're not very good, the major downsides are you cant map the yourself, and the circuit behind them is nothing that complicated really so your not getting a great deal for your money.

If i were in the market for something like that, ide go for this

dastek does alot more than you are suggesting ,if you think its the same as fitting a resistor in the temp sensor then your don,t understand even the basics of what a dastek can do ,but it has its limitations ,and its not a diy unit and not the right unit for use with t/bodies
