What tools do you always carry..

    Just curious ..are there any basic tools you always keep in the car in case of breakdown?
    To start you off I always insist on an adjustable spanner,torch and flat head screwdrivers..

    What do you keep in your glove or boot (that I probably should!)

    Nothing.

    Because I don't own a saxo

    BMW came with a little tool kit buildt into the boot lid with a few bits inside, and a torch in the glove box. other than that, a can of tyre weld and thats it.

    cable ties, gaffa tape, screwdrivers, couple of sockets, 19mm stuff for the wheels, electrical tape, bit of wire, torch, tow rope

    I have been advised that this is pretty much your average 'rape kit' but i promise thats a coincidence

    You'll only really ever need screw drivers, cable ties and a socket set / adjustable.
    Possibly torx for you citroen folk

    Anything else is just added weight that you'll never use.

    19mm Long impact socket, 1/2 torque wrench, jump leads, baseball bat steering wheel lock and my AA card.

    Gets the tyres changed and keeps people away. All totally legal :-D
