#2Its only 2-3bhp max
-
#3tell them it doesnt give any, its all debateable!
-
#4Say none to start with
If they won't accept then then just say 3bhp as a made up figure, not like you can prove it really
Even a rolling road session won't be accurate because your car may not be the same bhp exactly as it came out of the factory -
#5In my experience, induction kits restrict the performance, not enhance it. I had a 306 gti with a piper induction kit. Rolling road stated 141 BHP. Took the kit off, put back to standard and It got 148 BHP.
-
#6Thing is though when you put an induction kit on you need a remap to get it running right, its all due to it being able to suck air in more easily without pressure and for it to match the right fuel to it and that, just abit of info for you.1 user thanked this post:

#7after letting them know the increase would be around 2-3 BHP max they now want to know the EXACT BHP of the car before and after ! how do i find that out im guessing i now HAVE to go to rolling road route ? Please help !1 user thanked this post:

#8google it. they sound like arseholes

#10Just everytime they ask for a bhp figure give them the same number lol Its not going to make any difference at all just noise
-
#11Who is it?
-
#1398 BHP from the factory
+2 Bhp for induction kit
100Bhp. Simple. -
#14hey all Its the AA and despite telling them they want a f**king print of from rolling road to confirm it so the saxos booked it for a rolling road session really pissin me off now
-
#15and as most of you have said its hardly going to make a difference it not suddenly gunna turn a saxo into a lambo with 500+ BHP its stupid OK moan over ... lol
-
#16a few optionsQuote:and as most of you have said its hardly going to make a difference it not suddenly gunna turn a saxo into a lambo with 500+ BHP its stupid OK moan over ... lol
either don't tell them. keep hold of the old housing etc just in case. debateable and illegal but who hasn't done it
panel filter. as above, but harder to spot and easier to wriggle around if someone goes poking
or find an insurance company that aren't complete bellends -
#17had rolling road done .. came out at a average of 88.8 BHP so a slight decrease despite this they still wanted to add another £70 a year to my insurance so the induction is now off and it back to the standard

#18WTAF thanks for this thread, I will never ever be insuring a car with them!
