vtr block vts head?

Is it possible to put the vts head on a vtr block? Brought engine and box this mornin purley for the gear box and was goin to sell the engine on, but then figured it would be an ideal start for a turbo, providing the twin cam head can be used

nope, you need to use the whole VTS engine bottom end is different

Takes a lot of drilling and tapping iirc, the oil feeds are different too iirc, it can be done though. People used to do it back when vts engines cost thousands but now there so cheap it just isnt worth it

you say that, but its a motorway miles engine from an 03 car, which has had an MLS gasket, water pump, seals and belts etc done about 8k ago

and ive had severel vtr's, even a ph3'd vtr, and this engine pissed allover them all, aswell as pissing allover every other vtr it was against, and having MANY ppl who were taken for a drive in it believing it was a 16v untill i popped the bonnet,

if i didnt know the history of it id have scrapped it, but it was my engine and i know waht its like, i dont want to scrap such a good engine

BTW, its only 16k more then your 80k one, and yours is nearly 3 times the price

I didn't realise they where that cheap, i only brought it for the gear box, i got a vts lump in mine so got no need for it, the engine and box was cheaper than a box alone
