would this work on my vtr which does have central locking... the standard central locking is fucked and wont work so fancy changing it to something better.

only reason I ask as it says on that website turns your manual central locking into remote central locking?!

    Cheers

i would assume manual central locking is where you shove the key in the lock and everything opens, whereas remote is done from a remote (no key needed)

therefore, i would guess you central locking needs to work

Yeh I appreciate that but as my standard central locking has failed i was wondering if this kit would be alright to use instead of the standard central locking or if i need to remove the standard central locking and replace with this set lol.

    Cheers

i guess it all depends which bit of the central locking has failed - whether its the main unit itself of the bits in doors or whatever

i would have a word with the guy who made the hawk fitting guide to see which bits get removed and replaced, or whether it is all on the on the back of the standard system

from what i read, i think its instead of the main central locking bit (so if its that bit thats dead on yours u should be fine i think), but dont quote me on it

could i install this to my vtr which has perfectly good remote central locking on it its just the guy who sold it to me lost the key fob so im using the key to unlock it at the moment, could i just install this aswell or would i have to remove the old central locking? .... feels like somethough out of the 80's when your walking over to your motor and sticking the key in the door -__-
