I know obviously one has cat and one has not, But what sort of performance would be gained between the two? Thinking of getting a 4-1 with sports cat but not sure.
Difference between decat manifold and catted manifold?

#2They usually say about 5bhp..
Its worth de-catting for the feel of the change not just for chasing bhp fingures. -
#3Is that 5bhp with de cat manifold or catted manifold?Quote:They usually say about 5bhp..

Oh not bothered about chasing bhp figures its only a vtr lol. Just to see if a de cat manifold would be a bigger difference i would get it as its a lot cheaper! -
#4I changed saxo_gray's with him last week or week before, and it ha made a big difference to the feel or the car when driving (engine seems to be less restrictive than before), don't know if there's much change bhp wise (1.4 westcoast)

#5I just fitted a Piper 4-1 decat manifold, car feels a little more responsive now but its really the noise which has improved most, sounds alot more tinny and raspy, and when you start the car you can hear it scavenge fuel with the exhaust

#6the may rev a little more freely, may feel a little more responsive, not noticeable on majority of stock engines, does sound alot better though
