help, very soft suspension and 'ting' noise

    hi all,

i had my car lowered 6 months ago on 60mm spax springs but standard shocks. it has all of a sudden gone soft and is bouncing everywhere. how can i sort this out? i would rather buy shocks and use the springs i have, would this be possible and how much am i looking at? and for what shocks?

my other problem is the rear beam ever since i had it lowered makes a ting noise every now n then but has started to get worse. it tings when i reverse and move position on the road. any ideas.

    cheers!!

the noise from the rear is your arb being loose. follow this guide

If your cars back end was lowered, the rear arb has prob worked loose so need to re-tighten bolts but with thread lock. It has prob gone soft and bouncy at the front because you have blown a both shock absorber. Take a look at your strut to see if its all oily.

Bouncing will be the shocks being knackered at 60 mm they're well beyond their operating envelope and consequently bailed out on you.

And I should say, please replace them as quickly as possible as the likelihood of binning it is pretty high if the can is wobbling like a bouncy castle!!
