Like everyone else im in the pursuit of more power, but with a little budget. Would like to know if a Turbo or supercharger would be best i know they're normally expensive but i heard theres cheaper ones if you know where to look? thanks

Doing all the work yourself and finding cheap deals.. still looking at 1k using dastek/AFR to sort the fuelling out.

That still sound cheap? Considering saxo's are worth about £500-£1500 nowadays?

Wouldn't even consider a turbo or supercharger if your looking to do it cheap, but that's just me!

VTS conversion is probably the cheapest way of getting good but reliable gains.

Tie it to an evo! lols..Id go with the conversion, Probably pick an engine up for around £200

    16v engine in it!!

I may have something for you

cheap and charging of both descriptions are words that dont fit together. As said 16v it or failing that see if you can find a head rallye/xsi/worked on head with perhaps a cam fitted

16v convert it and then just tune that. easier then turbo/super

    4 branch manifold.
    Decat.
    Straight through system.
    Uprated engine/gearbox mounts.
    Good quality induction (BMC/Pipercross/K&N)
    Decent suspension setup
    and decent brake set up.

all you could ever need on a road car (maybe not even decat but i chose to.)

ive done all of the above for approx £400 give or take.

Edit: i would like to think ive reached the 105bhp mark, might get it RR'd
