Engine/loom issue

    Right I've just got a vtr turbo and after thinking about it I still have a 16v engine and would rather drop that in with the turbo kit than the 8v lump, my problem is that the 16v engine is a single plug and the 8v is a 3plug, if I got a 16v 3plug loom could I still use the engine I have or would I need a later engine.

    you would need to change a few sensors such as throttle position sensor you can take that off your 8v and also the m.a.p sensor i got a cheap brand new 1 on ebay. there are a couple more but cant think off the top of my head. you looking for a 3 plug loom.

    Youde probably have to change the alt, map, water temp, knock and reverse switches off the top of my head. You would definelty have to change the coilpack, injector loom and tps

    you will also need a new exhaust manifold

    Are right mission then be cheaper to sell the single plug and buy a 3plug engine and loom, cheers
