compression on low comp

   i have just done a compression test on mine and over the 4
   i got.
   1. 43 psi
   2. 46 psi
   3. 46 psi
   4. 45 psi
   
   they are all pretty similar, but they seem very low compression to me.
   im running 79mm wozzner low comps on a 1.6mm gasket j4 engine????

   How does that compare to the compression of a regular engine??

   what is the spec of the piston "dishes" mate
   
   and why did you go for a 1.6mm gasket may i ask?

   the car runs fine, altho i wouldnt know if it wasnt running upto spec, as never run a forged low comp charged saxo before.
   running the 1.6mm gasket as thats what was on there before m8
   all i can say is there 79mm wossner lowcomps, as out the box??

   we have just done a comp test on my m8s rs focus, i know not the same car but that is similar psi readings to.

   done lippys standard s and his made 90 psi???

    yeah if theyre all reading low like that it must be the gauge/tester tbh,
    
    see if you can source another one then start worrying after that if need be

    just retested with a brand new comp tester and got
    1. 162 psi
    2. 162 psi
    3. 164 psi
    4. 168 psi

    thats about right. anything over 160 on a celica GT4 was good and that was about 9:1 iirc.

    my low compd vtr is 8.8:1 and reads 160ish psi on a comp test

    yeah that sounds much better, least now you know youve got more compression then a bmx tyre
