space saver spare?

  1. #1
my cars a bit low and the spare 14' under the car is alarmingly close to the ground.

is there anywhere that sells a 14' 'spacesaver' type wheel in citroen/pug fitment? if you dont know what a Spacesaver is, i mean as in the really narrow steel wheel with small profile tyres

Or would i be better off buying a 13' steel and fitting the smallest tyre i can get onto it?

runflat is not worth it unless you only do motorway miles imo.

I run around without one but that's only to work and back whic is 2 miles from home. If you go fair distances I'd keep it. Along with a jack and breaker bar. 5 mins to change a wheel. If you don't have the spare or tools. Then guess who's walking or ringing breakdown assistance...

Also the cage that holds the wheel in only goes up so far, and the lowest part is right by the rear beam, which is lowered when the cars lowered.

Get some of the tyre sealant, I carry some in my boot, forget the name. In my old sax I only carried the spare when going on long journeys.

I got the compressor and the tyre foam shit from a c4. That sruff is crazy i seen it fix a knife hole in the side and a 3 inch slit to get the customer back to the garage. Quite a lot of them on ebay for about 30 notes. I not had a spare wheel in mine since I got the sax.
