Right,

As I have been layed off at work, and funds are tight enough as they are, I am thinking of building me a decat pipe center pipe.

Now Im handy with a welder, have a donar car and have power tools.

I am thinking of simply cutting out the cat, and welding a peice of exhaust the same size in its place.

Your thoughts on this, as when i finish my household duties

I will be out in my workshop doing this!

I was also considering buying some universal exhaust piping and making it fit - better idea?

anyhow, please discuss

sounds complicated, you could just remove the ceramic inside the cat.

its not really too complicated, measure cat, cut piping the same size, cut out cat, weld in pipe.

Shimples.

If i bash the cat to so it all falls out, wont that give me a horrendous back pressure problem as it will be an empty cavity for exhaust gasses to build up in?

If you're are able to make a new one, why not?

Also, some of the shite in the cat can't be good for you.
