Decating my saxo

    I recently bought a saxo 1.1 desire after I wrote of my corsa in an accident just wondering I have a mk1 vtr so could I take the oil filter insert needed for the conversion from the vtr?

    All decatting a 1.1 will do is make you fail your MOT!

    You want to take the oil filter insert of the mk1 for the conversion on a 1.1?

    i think removing the oil filter housing, will remove the cat

    right, srs now.

    you have a 1.1 desire
    you also have a MK 1 VTR

    you want to, covert what? the VTR engine into the 1.1 shell ?
    or just change the oil filter, from the cartridge filter on the 1.1 to the spin on, for the vtr ?

    Or do you want to change the oil filter, from the cartridge filter on the 1.1 to the spin on, for the vtr and then put the 1.1 manifold onto the vtr?

    just change the oil filter position on the 1.1 to the mk1 postition and im just wondering if i can take the insert off the vtr to use it on the 1.1
