shell weights

   Guys,
   Just wondering if there is any difference in the weight of the different models to figure out if it would be worth me reshelling my vts or would it just be the same by the time I put everything back in.

   The engine, trim level and wheels are the only major differences between shells.

   I'd just go to a scrappy and cut the roof off a 1.0 without sunroof. Less of a ballache than a complete reshell

   if you re-shell the vts into a lesser model furio for example it will only be a furio with vts bits bolted to it a re-shell isn't like a betle where you can keep the identity of the car but put a new shell on it.
   
   if you just wanting to get rid of the sunroof do as kam mentioned.

   S1 106 or a ax would be my choice if you want to shed some weight

   bare ax shell in at work (willsy) i cn lift and move about on my own about 120kg,
   
   if your wonting light and thinking non sunroof skin, yer lighter, saxo ones are about 150 from dealers or there 25/50 to cut one from scrappy and then dril the spots out weld in.
   
   they dont make non sunroof skins for ax no more so i had to do 2nd method on willsys ax. check his thread out.

   Rrp of roof is 160plus vat and roof bow is 15+. We get at trade witch vat off. Like to no what dealers sell them for 120 mate.
   
   Defo won't a bow aswell if there's no cage.

    I got my brand new non sunroof skin for £120 inc vat

    I want my saxo to weigh as close to 930kgs with me in it I cant put it into an ax as this is against my regs. If its stripped out, caged, polycarb windows, 1 gal fuel tank racing battery any idea what I can expect? Oh I weigh 100kg
