Cam belt interval on a VTR

   Anyone know the cam belt interval on a VTR?

   do mine about once a year roughly 25000 miles but i dont know what the recomended intervals are matey...

   I put 60k on my receipts. For 8v's that is.

   60k mate. just had mine done last week. £70 quid it cost me. good idea to get the water pump changed as well. but yeah normally they say in the book. 60k

   Sounds very cheap did they change the tensioner as well?

   hi guys new to this bought a vtr 2 weeks ago on 62000 dont think cambelt has been changed any ideas?

   If there`s no reciepts for a cambelt change then i`d get it done,for piece of mind etc.

    the official change is 72k or 10 years. I would go with what the others are saying and do 60k or 5 years.
    
    Get the tensioner and idler done at the same time if you have no history.
