centre de-cat pipe from eurocarparts

   I remember not too long ago people were buying these centre pipes from euro car parts for like £25, are they still about can anyone give me the part number or better still a link to the one i need, its to go on a mk1 16v.

   Will mostly be just exhaust piping that you will have to adapt.
   
   Not a hard job as long as you are handy with a welder and disk cutter.
   
   If you are looking for a centerpipe you will have to measure yours ( mani to Back box) then just get a piece of the piping with the lugs to fit on to ex manifold and jobs a gooden.
   
   PS
   People spend years and thousands on exhaust physics/ figuring out back pressure/ exhaust note etc so It will most probably not be the best for performance - althought iirc it wont be too bad with back pressure as long as you can get air and fuel into the bores at the same rate as its able to exit it should be all good.
   It will gargle and pop and bang though and be loud... very loud.

   Not really after straight line performance, but going to wait now and get kam racing one they do.

   i think you mean the centre section off a diesel, they are about that price and work well, i have one on my mk2 vts ;D, removes the de cat and the centre box ;D

   just have a look on their site for a 1.5 diesel centre pipe, it runs from your mani to the rear of the car, works just like a de cat and makes it a tad louder and also a single box system, just the box on the tail pipe , not uber loud, just nice ;D

   Even though it's for a diesel would it improve performance on a petrol car?

   cheers mate will have a look into it, if i went down that road it would be bolted to a janspeed mani, have you got a similar set up and did you have any problems with it?

    I have a 1.1 centre section on mine, no cat no silencer.
