using too much petrol too soon

Hi recently Ive noticed im using too much petrol too soon. Not going mad or ragging it only going to work and back which is like 3 miles away, however put £10 in two days ago and im under a quarter of a tank from a half when putting the £10 in. Ive pumped the tyres that helped a little and the exhaust is decat, which i apprishiate uses up more fuel but not much more and this hasn't normally took a tole on the fuel usage and tyres due a change just now too. So what do you think it could be? hopefully just tweeks i can sort. The car is due a MOT and service in December so if i can hold out till then it would be great but filling up at an alarming rate. Standard this might sound mad but £40 would last me the month 2x fuel stops but now its like £20 per week! thats alot for me lol

    Thanks

guessing that 3 miles x2 x 5 (if you work 5 days and do two journeys) thats 30miles for £10

something clearly is wrong, does the car smell like it is over fuelling at all?

Short trips use more fuel - engine doesn't get up to temp!

An engine uses more fuel when its getting upto its running tempreture and also its colder now.

You tried cycling everyother day? will save on fuel

Any warning lights on?? EML light? Could be a broken Lambda Sensor thats causing the overfueling.

Sorry for incorrect mileage but its literally a 15min drive from my house to work and back and no not that im aware of, i suspect backbox might be starting to blow again, they never sit properly but putting cat back on soon for MOT lol
