Hi there just done a vts rebuild got it running now but when I put my foot down it hesitates for a split second what could this be any think to do with new piston rings ? Or is this the vts gearbox as I had a VTR gearbox.

Every thing in the engine is new but not pistons and crankshaft it’s not to bad just not as nippy as the VTR engine I had in lol might it be the timing, thought the vts was a faster engine lol it picks up in second gear just not first gear ? how do you run it in properly? i was told to go through the gears quickly and drive around in 4 and 5

Have you sorted your inlet leak yet? That won't be helping.

Ah gotcha. If you're still running it in, I'd give it some time and see if it improves. Not sure what the correct procedure is for running in, but I think most people drive it hard for a few hundred miles, then change the oil.

update took the exhaust manifold of today to put the new o2 sensor in and the old 1 was not tight I could take it off with my fingers I gave it a clean as it was black, went for a drive runs a bit better but when you put it in reverse it still cuts out ? Light has not come on for fuel bank 1 yet, what could it be. Going to get the new sensor for the front manifold as they gave me the wrong 1 lol so it still could be the old sensor needing a better clean with some solvent.
