you can get one programmed to your car but it's not cheap, my dad had a key cut and coded on his astra and it cost about £100 !

I went to Citroen not long ago and told them i wanted a new fob case as both my buttons had perished. They told me they didn't do just the case and that they had to do everything at a cost of around £300. Luckily i just had to replace the case and got one off ebay for £5 i think it was

I got quoted £59 for a key and fob plus £39ph labour to Programe new fob. If you dont have a key code it will cost you an extra £25. They said it would take around an hour to do if there were no problems. hope this helps.
