Well got a new ECU today now the car runs fine you would not think it would be down to a ecu that you sent off to get unlocked and repaired to be faulty again so there you are chaps i can strip a engine down and put new parts in lol thanks mark lmao

just built my new engine last week, with no oil in i can turn it over with a 1/4" drive ratchet no problem. just how an engine should be, not struggling to budge it with a 1 meter long breaker bar..................

Will having my ecu unlocked/flashed bypass the immobiliser and can it deactivate it? So I can then buy a toad immobiliser??

lol i see the connection here williams, so satisfying to turn one that smoothly, saddo that i am, building an engine for a guy on here and spent 5 minutes turning the crank by hand when i fitted it in,almost mesmorising

nice and smooth no notchiness or sticking, i cant imagine what it must be like to build an engine that wont turn over lol

what i didnt like was toquing the ARP head studs up to 110nm in an alloy block was just waiting for the threads to rip out.

its in and running spot on but theres an anoying very light tap coming form somewhere, customer is happy as larry but hes doing his nut lol

he wants to pull it apart but the customer doesnt want him to as theyre happy its nothing serious..he just wants to know what it is..

back in the day (showing my age lol) i had a bellend of a mate who put the big end caps back on a marina engine back to front. He insisted it was just "tight cos it needs running in" until he got me to try and tow start it with a 300bhp range rover and it just locked his back wheels up every time he let the clutch up. how we mocked him lol

lol, did the not have any notches so they couldnt go in the wrong way?
  18. #18
not just the bearings,he got the whole caps on back to front lol
