Oil rocker cover

Hey their I am looking to paint my oil rocker cover thing tomorrow, only doing it black just so it looks abit tidier. I have a new gasket thing or that rubber type bit aha sorry bit dunce, is their anything I need to watch out for before I do it? and is it as easy as just removing the 2 bolts. The reason I said I have a new gasket is because I read somewhere on here it will probably need to be replaced, will any of the screws ect? cheers

    No mate it's easy.

Just watch the two collets type washers that are under the rocker cover as they can get lost if your not careful.

Also watch you don't over tighten the two nuts as they snap pretty easy, Seen it happen a few times in past where people have really gone for it tightening them up just go ping lol.

if youve the later coil pack engine with the big coilpack over the plugs make sure you properly fit the new gasket and seat it down properly at the back, otherwise I found it can split and piss oil down the back of the block. As said dont over tighten or loose the spacers, plus clean your breathers out - they have a habit of filling with gunge in this weather
