which exhaust would you have

    been looking at getting a new exhaust system for the vtr on payday as i currently have a magnex backbox which fits poorly, looks crap and sounds crap.

    i cant decide between the saxsport 2" race system or the supersprint race system, they are both roughly the same price and although the supersprint is slightly louder it does sound nice but the saxsport backbox looks alot better.

    if you had to choose between the 2 which one would you rather have ?

    i have a fullstainless with cherrybomb back box not sure how good it is for the car but.. sounds good looks good, good poppin and nice blue flame

    I'd go for the Saxsport. I've got a Supersprint setup with a piper 4-1 and its lovely but for looks and a change i'd go for the Saxsport as its full stainless.

    I got a supersprint and very pleased. Great sound, nice and subtle with great quality.

    im biased because i have a supersprint system.

    but if i was guna be buying new i would of got the saxport, purely cause its stainless so will out last the mild steel supersprint.

    also theres the kam racing stainless system? if you havent thought about it.

    im also biased with my super sprint, i looked at loads of videos and personally think it sounds mental, ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, especially between 3-5k revs.

    wouldn't worry about it only being mild steel as it will still outlive most saxos lol.

    Its the same as the supersprint system only the tail pipe is 1/4 inch bigger and is full stainless or suppose to be, made by supersprint anyway. Would't have any other system personally

    I Do love the sound of the supersprint, so raspy but not sure if it would be too loud for myself to put up with everyday especially since I have no interior or sound proofing

    Cherry bombs are for chavs...........

    To be honest I would just go for the one you think sounds better out of those two, combine it with a 4-2-1 and it should sounds good.

    I had a pugsport catback with standard and it sounded really good. Got a Janspeed now and it doesn't sound as good

    tbh their not for "chavs" my colour on my car is black/red and the red inside the exsuast sets of nice.. and i thought/think the illgal to but been stopped 2times not had a word sayed to me

    They are for chavs, people buy them because they are cheap and can't afford a better system.

    In all honestly, don't you think that Super Sprint is just a name?

    I have a supersprint manifold. The welds on this are amazing. I had a Raceland before this and although the welds are nothing compared to the Supersprint ones, i noticed no difference in anything when i swapped over.

    Pay for quality, like you just said. Don't think you would notice a difference changing from a raceland to a supersprint really. It's probably not noticeable to most but the quality difference is noticeable.

    Cherry Bomb to Supersprint? Both would be mild steel yet huge price difference.

    Its not about what there made out of its how there made. Its how they fit, how they sound, how long they last, the general design. Supersprint are a well known brand for providing the highest levels of quality for exhausts along with a few others I wouldn't touch the cheap stuff again after owning Supersprint however doesn't mean I wouldn't try another exhaust from a high end manufacturer.

    Get what you pay for at the end of the day. Like the first post he bought a Magnex and it sounds poor, doesn't fit well and looks rubbish the only plus being its made out of stainless steel.

    It aint bad mate, when mine was stripped out and i was running the 4-2-1 manifold i could put up with it, sounds awesome and got many looks..

    That's a bit rich isn't it..

    Branding the chery bomb as a loud chavy exhaust then saying a full exhaust sounds good which implies loud..

    Bottom line is the chery bomb is no more of a "chav" item than anyother aftermarket exhaust on a saxo.

    Have you heard a cherry bomb backbox?

    A decent full decat system sounds good whereas a cheapo cherry bomb backbox on a standard system sounds awful....

    Still to this day Phil i never got to listen to it from outside and someone else driving it haha, must of been nice because i used to get no end of looks lol.

    thought this thread would of turned into a arguement to be honest but anyway i first had a 3.5" powerflow when i first got my car. Then got a standard back box on a straight pipe from downpipe back (basicly de-cat / no silencers). Then got a 4inch sportex back box was nice sounding but when at 50mph then put your foot down it was horrible and way too loud so got rid . Have now got a 2nd hand but never used supersprint 2" race system for £75 delivered and then it sounds the nuts just need a 421 manifold now . but if i didnt get the supersprint for the stupidly cheap price i wouldnt have it as i wouldnt even want to pay the £150 or whatever then want just for the back box

    Sound is really nice, in this video is not that good as in first person.

    And best thing, it is not loud when you drive normal, till 4000 rpm you barely hear it in car.

    I have a saxsport and love it! Real raspy and still looks standard which I like! Quite loud but it sounds so good I don't mind!
