Hello, recently bought a second furio...however it feels faster, it does have a 421 and straight through but someone said it may of had a vtr conversion, is there anyway of telling?
Thanks

try puting a magnet on the block if it sticks its a vtr if not then its a 1.4 as the vtr block is cast and the 1.4 is ally hope that helps

Get it dyno'd lol
Or find where the engine code is

Its probably because of the mods but the 1.4 a 1.6 look the same so it could be a VTR lump.

This is the easiest and most surefire way of checking.

Do the magnet way, as its the easiest and give a definitive answer. Then get it on a rolling road to find the actual power!

Yep, as long as you checked the block not the head. All Saxo petrol heads are aluminium.

Could be that your old Furio engine wasn't tken care of as much as this oen or had some underlying issues which reduced power. but when i had my 1.4 engine the breathing mods definitely gave it a bit more poke, so could just be that.
