Phase 2 Manifold VTR

  1. #1
I have recently purchased a nice and clean phase 2 VTR in black. Immaculate with only 58k on the clock. So i thought, this can be a perfect little project car.

Sadly, i have no knowledge of Saxo's, after owning a renault for the past 3 years.

Im here to enquire about which manifolds would people reccomend? Im after a nice low end increase so a 4-2-1 would be best?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Phase 2 tend to all be 4-1, like the standard one.
Hold out for a few weeks as we are creating our own brand one :-)

not quite yet. Theres a few options on material spec we are considering. We are trying to balance cost with still looking nice. Design is done though.

Will this be 4-1 or 4-2-1? I was going to buy a new manifold but might wait for your one if it's 4-2-1 and fits the mark 2 vtr.

4-1 i believe. Theres no need to do 4-2-1 on these engines and the level of tune. Standard is 4-1 anyway so its nothing to worry about

im selling a heatwrapped raceland 4-1 manifold, comes with 2 lambda sensors ready to fit.

requires no mods, unlike the sportex ones, they are a pig to fit and require all sorts of mods, and they are mild steel so they will rust eventually.

pics + price are in my for sale thread bellow

PM me if your interested or post in the for sale thread

so would you just use a phase 1 cat for the mot?
  12. #12
yeah either put an underfloor cat in found on all VTS's and mk1 VTR's.

or save abit of money and just put standard manifold and cat back on for MOT, bit of a pain in the arse, but its free and you can buy a straight through system then.

the only thing im thinking of is at mot time. i take it the exhaust wouldnt need the oil filter re-located kam?

thats the idea Theres no need for developing a 4-2-1. The market is well catered for there

    look forward to this
