lol the elbow usually goes on the other way, but suppose it's abit further from the engine..

Still gonna suffer from heat soak though.
  3. #3
elbow is the wrong way round.

and that cold air feed isnt really doing much.

would of sorted out your engine bay before fitting stuff like that tbh, its minging.

lol i did have it on the other way at first but the blue pipe form the breather waz kinked. how would i stop the heat soak.. is that something to worrie about
  5. #5
SHIT BRUV! your oil cap is the wrong way round innit!

Nah nothing to worry about it's just when you have a open cone induction kit, it draws hot air.. when cold air is better.

ok great thanks a will change the pipe around to mora. and yes a know its a horrible mod but i like the sound lol cant afford the stuff you guys have
  9. #9
    That's one dirty engine bay
Get a cloth, brush and hot soapy water and get it cleaned
  10. #10
id be more worried that the breather pipe is almost flat
  11. #11
If that has an interior cone then i can't see anything wrong with that cold air feed. would do its job alright. but i would sort that breather out by buying some better hose. any appropriately sized water hose etc will do the job

Didn't you think about cutting the pipe down to suite the spacing?

Pretty much universal by the looks of it. Tbh,.it will not filer any air.

That is one dirty engine bay!
  16. #16
It will give you sound and possibly a slightly performance loss but if you haven't noticed and you like the sound then just leave it as is.

dont cost anything to give your bay a good scrub! lol then a new rocker cover/paint original one and heatshield and you'll be surprised how good it can look
  18. #18
am going to give it a clean to mora lol. tbh i aint seen any performance loss but maybe a tiny gain in pulling away seems to pull away tiny bit fast but maybe its just a placebo lol
kind of just wish a left it the way it was. wat if i fitted the filter straight to the engine without the pipe a think it will fit and i have a mini filter i could put on breather pipe?

Will make it worse doing that, the cooler air is near the front of the engine so just leave it as is.

get a universal oil breather filter, get rid of the pipe thats kinking, you can get a heat shield for your induction kit to minimise heat soak, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apiro-Stai...#ht_500wt_1287

i have fitted the slandered air box back now and have heard about just getting a better filter for the air box but not sure witch one.

what do you think better filter for airbox or fit induction kit back. i have bought on of them mini filters....

but if i fit that what about the hole in that chrome pipe for connecting the breather. or could i then just fit the filter straight to the throttle block and make some cold air feed from the front somehow??
    LOL

i have decided to leave the old air box on as i don't want to tell the insurance company i have made modification. what panel filter would you recommend for a..

    Manufacturer: Citroen
    Model: Saxo Forte
    Year: 2000
    Colour: Green
    Fuel Type: Petrol
    Engine Size (CC): 1124.

is there any air box mods or upgrades i can do that i wont have to tell insurance about?
