Hey guys, im stripping a 106 git. If i unplug the ecu whilst the cars running then the ECU should be left open / unlocked? Correct?
Thanks.

Why dont you just unplug the immobiliser box and do it the normal way?

Just to say it's done... Unplugged the transponder ring whilst it was running.

Leave the car running. Go under the dash and unplug the little black box. Turn the car off and then back on to check its unlocked.

Both work, transponders safest to disconnect whist live.

When my conversion was done we unplugged the imobiliser under the dash to unlock the ecu while it was running. Think the way people do it is leave the car running for like 5 mins, unplug immobiliser, leave running for a few more mins, turn off and back on to check.
