Dude whats the point bumping your thread 20mins later lol
But I wouldn't bother with either, A standard airbox and uprated filter I.E green cotton with a better cold air feed would do the trick cheaper as well.

As above a panel filter with cold air feed will be better value for money

If you have money to blow though I'd go for an enclosed bmc filter or pipercross venom

The K+N would be best, the other is the same as the old raceland ones and i always found them pritty crap

Its actually a lot better quality. Raceland made a copy cheaper with less quality parts

I'd probably go for the simota as you dont have to faff about optimising the cold air feed for the K&N

will the simota just fit straight in without anything in the engine bay being moved, with the k&n where is the best place to put the air feed? thanks

Personally I'd go for the simota with a larger Green filter in.

    And yes it does.

im after cams aswel but not until April, the simota kit gives an option of which green filter to get depending on what bhp your cars running at the minute it would just be a guess but with me planning on getting cams would i just get the fillter for up to 150bhp or 170bhp? if you click the link at the top you'll get what i mean.

As i've mentioned in pm. Get the filter that is bigger than what you need. With cams the K2.65 may not flow enough but theres not many road vts's running more than 170bhp so the B8.65 will be fine.
