#2personally i dont think i will help, get a magnet and get it out, one of them pen type ones will do it
manic -
#3Through your rocker cover? Get a magnet? And DO NOT start it until you have taken it out.
-
#4Underneath the oil filler cap.... The cam there the one furthest to the right the 1 next rto that piece fell down the hole
-
#5Its not great to run the engine, id personally remove the am cover and try and find it.
Although A well known member on here did loose a screw in the engine of his vts lol -
#6pull the rocker cover off and you should be able to get it, if not try a magnet if you can see it, i dont know the saxo engine at all, but some one will correct me but where are the oil drain ways as it might go in to the sump,( i done it on a corsa with a screw driver bit too as some one else said DO NOT start it till you get it out
manic -
#7Its went down the cam near rad the 3rd one along to the right...where there's a hole to side of valve spring that goes down
-
#8I heard it seem to drop down quite a fair way I only got net on my phone right now so I cany google for pics or take pics any help appreciated also I don't even no if the shitty torx bit will be magnetic it went down long hole
-
#9make sure you get it out, do not start the car!
-
#10I personally WOULDNT start it up.
-
#11is it an 8v? and you dropped it through the oil filler cap yes?
will be ok as there is a plate between the rockers and the cover so it should just be sitting on that. whip the cover off remove the divider and take it out forcouse moving away from the engine before removing the divider. -
#12why did you have the oil cap or rocker cover off while using a t25 torx bit can i ask?
sounds to me as he can identify the cam lobe number..hes had the rocker cover off anyway...and its dropped down the front on the block VIA the oil drain to sump
in which case by draining the oil and removing the sump you should retrieve it
or am i off the mark here? very vague thread lol1 user thanked this post: -
#13Ok....where the oil cap is......remove that cover to reveal the cam yes.... Starting from left by where the oil cap is... You've got a valve spring u can see from an angle.... So the 3d valve spring along torx has dropped down there but the hole seems deep.....so basicalle this seemed to be the only one that seemed to have a big lonbg hole running to the side of valve spring and I head it drop quite low...I only on my mobile so I can't get a pic to illustrate where I mean.....
-
#14if its in the rocker box you should be able to find it with your fingers through the oil
if its fell down the oil drain at the front of the block...the wide holes you can fit your fingers down, then itll be in sump now with any luck
need pics really for 100% help -
#15managed to get access to comp and made a pic... does this clear up for anyone ??? IF anyone can confirm it must of went to SUMP is it safe to drive with it in SUMP ??? i can strip the eng down at mo cus some previous cunt has rounded some torx bolts off this is also how i dropped 1 down the cam because the stupid screwdriver dropped the piece out after i lifted up
-
#16And we did hear the bit *clink* it dropped down to something that made a clink sound like it hit something just dont no what. I just changed the oil and emptyed the sump earlier today
-
#17also that picture...you ask why did i have off....you see the centre bit...i was told spark plugs are beneath that ??? and a torx screw is fucked ...i took the bottom cam cover off for extra clearance n leverage into trying to get the screw off.......anyway the screwdriver magnet or whatever evidently is fucking shite and as i lifted screwdriver away the fuckin torx piece just fell out the screwdriver and down the hole.
-
#18so its not an 8v.. lol that helps a bit
, im not massivley familiar with the 16v head or oil drians so i cant help further

#19If you could write a proper post without sounding like a Polish migrant from the back of a lorry at Dover docks then you have a chance of getting some help.
I'm sorry, but i have no idea what you're on about, nor do i understand what you say. -

Is that it? The 2 big holes the size of a penny in the corners?? -
#32i posted a photo...and pointed to exactly where the bit disappeared...its the hole to the side of the 2nd valve spring from the right...a deep long hole i am unsure if it goes to the sump or if my bit might be caught up in some other part of engine *picture on page 1 *

#33The picture is far too small. I don't know much about 16v engines tbh but curious to where you mean.
Your best bet is look on google images for "Saxo 16v (or VTS) Head" and see what you can find. Do a quick picture edit to circle where you mean and maybe someone could help.
